Spencer participated in the cub scout pinewood derby a few weeks ago. I am not going to lie, the pinewood derby brings me a great deal of anxiety. Spencer doesn't like to lose. ANYTHING. But we aren't good pinewood derby parents. His car is never the fastest, or the sleekest. Chris told him that if they had a cub scout activity where the dad's had to identify strep throat the fastest he would definitely win, but the pinewood derby is for the kids whose dads are engineers!! It turned out fine. He raced 6 times and in no particular order finished in every place one time. Overall it was good and he had fun.
