Chris and I asked the kids what we should do over Labor Day and ALL of them BEGGED to go back to Bear Lake. They didn't have to twist our arms too hard. We did learn something new--Bear Lake does NOT get warmer on Labor Day--the water was freezing! This time we rented a condo and brought bikes. It was super fun to have a different Bear Lake experience! We got there Friday night and Saturday was our big boating day. The weather was clear in the morning but the water was chilly. Everybody got a turn to do what they wanted, but when we tried to anchor the boat for lunch a HUGE storm came. The water was so choppy that the waves were like ocean waves. We laughed most of the way back to the marina because it felt like the Grizzly River Run at Disneyland, but after awhile it was a little scary and we were all ready to be at the marina. It was INSANE when we got back to dock the boat between the storm and Labor Day traffic! We went back to the condo and watched movies and played games and then decided to try Zips b/c not only did they advertise "least famous shakes", but Disneyland Dole Whips. We tried them and decided that Bear Lake is meant for Raspberry Shakes! We also ate at Big Ephraim's Pizza for the first time and loved it. Sunday we played games and then went to an insanely packed sacrament meeting. After church we decided to go on a bike ride and Spencer took a big crash down the hill at the condo. Luckily Chris was able to wrap his arm and side up and we were still able to go on the bike ride. We had more movies and games on Sunday night. Monday we took the boat out again but it was SO cold. After a few hours we decided to head back and try LaBeau's. It was a great way to end the summer! One funny memory--Addie lost 1 tooth at Bear Lake and another tooth the day we got back!!!
