The First Week

Now to some people, vacation means sit around and relax--this was not so much the case for us. We stayed busy every second and had so much fun doing everything. I was originally worried my kids would be bored, but we really didn't have a lot of time where we didn't have anything planned. So everyone we didn't get a chance to see, I am sorry we missed you!! And for everyone we did see, we are so glad that we did! Our first week was so busy. We had 1 day in Price where the kids played in the sprinklers and we ate at my Grandma and Grandpa King's house and the kids helped pick the best tasting fresh peas out of their garden. Then we headed up north the next day where we went to 7 Peaks Waterpark and had a great time--well everybody except Addie. She was a teething beast all day! Then we went to Trafalga and played glo-in-the-dark golf--even my 92 year old Great Grandma played, how great is that!! The next day was the 4th of July--which is also my Grandma Christensen's birthday--my cousin's gave her a Hannah Montana wig and it was so funny. We had a great barbeque at my aunt and uncle's house in Draper and then that night we went to Stadium of Fire in Provo where we saw not only the fireworks, but Glenn Beck, the Blue Man group and MILEY CYRUS!! The kids were in heaven. My nephew Clayton taught Spencer a little phrase and the 2 of them made everyone around us laugh or annoyed when they yelled "Miley, I love you--you're hot" about a billion times. Kennedy and my 9 year old niece Brooklyn loved Miley and sang along. It was so fun. But we missed Chris so much. The 4th of July is his favorite holiday so we were sad that he was stuck at home working instead of being with us!!!
