Summer Before Utah

Before we left for Utah we stayed busy, and I never had a chance to put anything up. The kids went to their friend's roller skating birthday party and since this was Spencer's first time on skates, I thought they were blog worthy. Kennedy has been able to roller blade for a while and did great, and it was fun to watch Spencer try and figure out the concept.
The kids also had fun one afternoon out the backyard with the sprinkler. It was a nice way to keep cool without having to haul everything over the pool. They were so funny because they wore goggle to play in the sprinklers.
We also went to Oak Mountain State Park which is just a few minutes away and had a picnic and rented a paddle boat which was so fun. Poor Addie was so frustrated though because the older kids were able to jump off and swim around in the lake and she wanted to get in the water too!! Finally Chris held her off the side for a while and that was great until she had to get back on the boat--that girl is a fish!!
