One of the fun things about 6th grade is the annual rocket launch which is part of the science curriculum. Buying a rocket is optional, and then a guy comes and shoots them off. The kids get to put them together and then put them on the launch pad. Kennedy's rocket ended up being awesome, and went super far. I was grateful that her friend Carsyn's grandpa was there because he helped Kennedy make sure her rocket was put together the right way! It was such a fun morning and great hands on learning opportunity!
