The Saturday before Easter we hopped in the car at 6 am and headed to California for Spring Break. Note to self, if you pack a bag of toys to entertain your 2 year old, it would be a good idea if they actually made it to the car!!! Thank goodness for happy meal toys! Our goal was to get to California in time for the YW General Broadcast. Not only did we make it for that, but we made it in time for the Foster cousin egg hunt so the kids were super excited. Benson was totally into it this year--it was so funny to watch him. On Easter we did the annual egg cracking contest and Addie was the big winner. Spencer thought it would be fun to roll eggs down Grandma and Grandpa's giant slide--and we decided his egg was the least cracked on that one, and therefore the official slide winning egg. After church, the Larson's were kind enough to let us join the Larson extended family Easter fun. When Easter was all said and done, I had a good laugh. I thought that because we were going to be traveling our Easter festivities would be a little more low key this year. 4 egg hunts and massive amounts of candy later, I think it turned out okay.
